When I stepped onto the private winery estate surrounded by rolling vineyards and ancient olive orchards, I immediately understood why couples dream of saying “I do” here. This editorial, inspired by Under the Tuscan Sun, brought that dream to life with a sun soaked palette, organic design, and the unmistakable charm of the Italian countryside. Heritage Floral and Reed Events created an atmosphere that felt warm, vibrant, and deeply rooted in the landscape, which made documenting every detail feel effortless and incredibly inspiring.

Photographing the Tuscan Landscape


Destination weddings thrive on a sense of place, and Tuscany does the storytelling for you. The historic villa estate offered panoramic views that stretched across vineyards, olive trees, and distant golden hills. It was the kind of scenery that photographs beautifully from every angle. Rather than compete with the environment, the creative team embraced it. Their use of color, texture, and natural elements allowed the design to blend gracefully into the landscape. As a photographer, I loved how the sun hit the vineyards in soft waves of gold and how the olive trees created pockets of shade that felt intimate and romantic.

An Organic Ceremony Among the Olive Trees


Ceremonies in destination locations feel especially connected to the environment, and this one was designed with that intention. The altar nestled naturally into the olive orchard, surrounded by marigold, tangerine, and golden yellow blooms arranged as if they had grown there on their own. Olive branches from the property were woven into the floral installations, linking every detail back to its Tuscan roots. Photographing this scene was a dream. The florals glowed against the muted sage tones of the olive leaves, creating a warm, sunlit palette that felt both organic and cinematic. Nothing felt overly constructed. It was simply nature framing a love filled moment exactly as Tuscany does best.

A Citrus Infused Al Fresco Tablescape


If there is one thing Italy teaches you, it is that a meal is meant to be an experience. The al fresco reception design captured that spirit perfectly. Set on a stone patio overlooking the vineyards, the long wooden table was dressed in patterned linens inspired by Mediterranean ceramics. Citrus fruits tucked between lush floral arrangements added color, fragrance, and movement. As I photographed the details, I noticed how the afternoon sun made the citrus glow and how the patterned linens created a sense of playful elegance. Fresh lemons marked each place setting as both decor and a guest favor. When the candles were lit at dusk, the entire tablescape transformed into something intimate and romantic, the kind of dinner scene guests remember long after the night ends.
