The Distillery’s main hall (the “White Room”) features lofty ceilings with elegant gold chandeliers and abundant natural light, providing a bright yet warm setting for both ceremonies and receptions.

Inside The Distillery, you’ll find a one-of-a-kind modern industrial space like no other in the region. The main event hall – aptly called the White Room – spans over 3,000 square feet of airy, open space adorned with eight luxurious gold chandeliers, polished concrete floors, and warm wood accents that soften the crisp white walls. Sunlight pours in through black-framed grid windows along the walls, flooding the interiors with natural light and creating a bright, airy ambiance for ceremonies or receptions. The venue’s industrial-inspired architecture hints at its warehouse roots with high ceilings and touches of exposed brick. Every detail of the design has been carefully curated to strike that perfect balance between contemporary chic and classic elegance – a “refined industrial” aesthetic that’s both stylish and welcoming.

The Distillery’s “Modern Cottage” bridal suite is a chic, 700-square-foot lounge with stylish furnishings and ample natural light – perfect for beautiful, relaxed getting-ready photos.

In addition to the grand White Room, The Distillery offers other thoughtfully designed spaces to enhance your wedding day. The Modern Cottage bridal suite is a 700-square-foot luxury lounge featuring a photo-worthy seating area, a stunning full-length mirror, and plenty of natural light – giving brides and their closest friends a calm, elegant space to get ready in style. Meanwhile, a separate Gathering Lounge (about 3,000 square feet) invites guests to mingle for cocktails in climate-controlled comfort, with oversized windows that bring the outdoors in. These soaring windows and the polished concrete floors throughout lend the interior a cool urban loft vibe, yet the overall atmosphere remains warm and inviting. From the bridal suite to the lounge and main hall, The Distillery’s interiors are as luminous as they are luxurious, ensuring every moment – from your first look to your last dance – is bathed in beautiful light.

This recently added courtyard features a lush green lawn (high-quality turf) and an “urban garden” that brings a touch of nature into the heart of downtown Garner. Couples now have the option to say “I do” under open skies in an intimate outdoor ceremony space, then sip cocktails al fresco surrounded by greenery. By day, the courtyard offers a refreshing pop of color and a relaxed garden vibe – picture your first look or family portraits here, framed by the clean lines of the building and vibrant foliage. By night, it transforms into a magical setting where guests can dine and dance under the stars with bistro lights or lanterns overhead. This outdoor space isn’t just for show; it’s fully functional and flexible. The courtyard can host a smaller ceremony or cocktail hour comfortably, giving you a lovely open-air option to complement the indoor spaces. And of course, it’s yet another photogenic backdrop at The Distillery – the mix of greenery and modern design makes for striking bridal party shots and romantic newlywed portraits. (In fact, the venue’s urban garden has been noted as a beautiful setting for engagement and bridal photos.) A Photographers Perspective: Picture-Perfect Spots


From a wedding photographer’s standpoint, The Distillery is a dream because it provides multiple gorgeous backdrops all within one location. Here are a few of my favorite photo spots around the venue:

Under the veranda


The Distillery’s covered entry porch provides soft, even lighting and a clean, neutral backdrop – perfect for grouping family members without harsh sun or distractions. This sheltered area (essentially a modern veranda) means even on a bright day, we can capture those formal family photos in ideal lighting. The building’s chic exterior details also add a subtle architectural frame around your loved ones in these shots.

The bridal lounge isn’t just for getting ready – it doubles as a beautiful photo location. With its ample space, chic decor, and abundance of natural light, the suite is ideal for capturing intimate pre-ceremony moments. I love taking bridal portraits by the oversized mirror, as well as candid shots of champagne toasts and laughter on the stylish couches. The soft, airy ambiance in this room makes everyone look their best, and it creates a calm backdrop for those emotional getting-ready images.

The newly turned courtyard has quickly become a go-to spot for fun and romantic portraits. I often bring couples and their wedding parties out to this patch of greenery for relaxed group photos or a quiet moment away from the crowd. With the venue’s  emmaculate garden landscaping  surrounding this area, the photos here have a bright, lively feel. Whether it’s a first look or golden-hour portraits after the ceremony, this outdoor space adds variety to your gallery while staying close the property.


Of course, the bright interior of the White Room itself is fantastic for photographs as well – especially for ceremonies, first dances, and reception candids. The high ceilings and dramatic chandeliers lend a grand atmosphere, while the white walls and floods of natural light keep every image clean and true-to-color. As a photographer, I appreciate that The Distillery’s design allows me to use every corner creatively, from the modern industrial textures (brick, metal, glass) to the soft, elegant elements (drapery, florals, and that beautiful lighting). It truly offers the best of all worlds for photography.

A Vision Brought to Life by Chad Biggs


It’s no surprise that such a well-designed venue was created with vision and intention. The Distillery is the lifelong dream of Chad Biggs, a renowned local wedding planner and the owner of Chad Biggs Event Planning & Design. After years of coordinating weddings at other venues, Chad envisioned a stylishly contemporary space of his own – and he completely brought it to life here in Garner. What began as a simple warehouse has been transformed into a stunning, design-forward venue under his direction. Each element of The Distillery’s design was carefully curated by Chad and his team to create tasteful, artful spaces for couples to celebrate in. The result is a modern, industrial venue that still feels inviting and warm, truly reflecting Chad’s signature style and high standards.

Beyond the aesthetics, Chad Biggs’ background as a planner means that The Distillery was built to function seamlessly for weddings. The layout flows intuitively from room to room, and there are dedicated spaces for every part of the day (from a private dressing suite to separate ceremony and reception areas). Since the venue is owned and operated by an experienced planning team, every couple is in excellent hands here – the in-house staff understand weddings inside and out, and they ensure every event runs smoothly and every detail is attended to. This level of care and expertise truly elevates the experience at The Distillery. It’s not just a beautiful building; it’s a place designed for celebrating love, by people who are passionate about making your day everything you’ve dreamed.
